Our story
From a family butchery in South Africa to Ranch Road 12.
Ziggi's is run by Alex and Rena Gabrielides. Born and raised in South Africa and Greek by heritage, they ran restaurants from London to the Bahamas before settling in Dripping Springs.
Alex comes from three generations of butchers. The cafe is named after the family dog, Ziggi, and their son runs the coffee bar as head barista. The idea is the kind of small shop you find on every street in Greece: quick, casual and cooked to order.
“I saw the name Dripping Springs, and I thought it was cute.” Rena Gabrielides, on how they chose their new home town
As told to Dripping Springs City Lifestyle, “It's All Greek” by Melissa Svoboda.
